In partnership with Uyisenga N’Manzi, a Rwandan-based non-profit organization that helps orphans with housing, financial, psychological and legal aid, Discover Worlds has created a sponsorship program for orphans of the 1994 Rwandan genocide, and those who were orphaned by HIV/AIDS.

Costs of Sponsorship

Sponsoring an orphan is a year-long sponsorship of $25 a month/$300 a year (less than a dollar a day) with 0 administrative fees, all money going to the orphans.

The orphans will write letters and send pictures confirming the money they received and sponsors can build relationships if they would like.

What the Sponsorship Covers

The basic support will cover school materials, school uniforms, school fees, healthcare, food and basic clothing necessities.

DW helps the orphans to rise out of poverty through proper education and not having to fight away illness because of lack of access to healthcare.

This changes their lives drastically for the better and helps other orphans that live in the Uyisenga orphan community.

Who Can Be Sponsors

Sponsors can be businesses, clubs, organizations, individuals, universities, religious organizations, classrooms, schools, etc.
