Mathilde Nyimawumumtu
I am Mathilde Nyinawumumtu. I am 23 years old and I was born in Rwanda. I had my two wonderful parents, my three sisters and four brothers. I lived as a refugee in t he neighboring country Burundi, where I went to primary school. Then because of my parents financial I had to leave school for two years. Then the genocide happened. I was orphaned and left without family, which is still difficult for me to talk about. Through Uyisenga N’Manzi, I had received financial support from a group of sponsors.
Unfortunately these sponsors were only able to help me for four more years. The last two years of school, I had two sponsors, one for one year and the other for the last year.
I hope to get a diploma in humanitarian studies, an option that is compatible with my life experience. I have finished my secondary studies two years ago. I’m currently employed and am living as a member of a family and truly hope to get to continue my future university studies!
