Presentations
Discover Worlds is made of students interested in making a difference in their community, or through the global community by raising awareness on issues they passionate about.
Additionally, Discover Worlds Members link together to find the most effective ways to present.
Students can do small presentations during a school basketball game or a concert, or do a longer presentation in front of conferences or school groups.
Examples of Discover Worlds chapters include:
- A chapter in Rwanda raising awareness throughout villages on HIV/AIDs, nutrition, etc through presenting and drama
- Chapters in the U.S. raising awareness on global issues such as Extreme Poverty in Africa, Human Trafficking, Genocide, and Global Warming through presenting, sports and more
- Inner city youth raising awareness on gang violence through presentations and workshops
- Students working with lower-income middle school girls on proper nutrition, health, academics, etc through a monthly magazine and presentations
The topics for our presentations have included: HIV/AIDS, Global Warming, Poverty in Africa, Human Trafficking, the Humanitarian Crisis in Darfur, the troubles in the Congo, and more! Students present on the issues they are interested in.
