Discover Worlds is spreading across college campuses and high schools. See how you can change your school, your community and raise awareness and funds.

Discover Worlds is looking for students interested in everything from marketing to public speaking to fundraising to sports. Any student passionate about any issue can make a difference using the resources and connections that Discover Worlds offers.

Others can get involved with Discover Worlds itself, getting experience working for a Non-Profit Organization, giving a variation from just working with student clubs/extracurricular activities.

Since Discover Worlds is a student run organization, you can even volunteer your time to Discover Worlds! Discover Worlds is broken up into different departments.

Recruitment

This department focuses on contacting organizations, schools, and working with other students to find the most qualified, most passionate and most talented to join Discover Worlds. Works with new members to help them become adjusts. Helps those who are interested in knowing what Discover Worlds offers. Recruits NOT JUST for Discover Worlds but for students to become interested in giving back. Takes someone with energy, dynamic social and people skills, and networking skills. In high positions, travel is likely.

Publicity

This department actively seeks contact with newspapers, news stations, and other forms of media in the areas in which there are presentations. This department is best suited for those with good people skills, those who are talented at writing, and those who have skill using the internet to research local newspapers. Best for those interested in Journalism, English, or Public Relations.

Fundraising

This department contacts everyone from large corporations to local businesses to raise funds for Discover Worlds. This department is best suited for innovative people who can come up with creative fundraisers. It is necessary to have persuasive skills as well as being talented at letter/grant writing and organization. Creativity is a must.

Marketing

This department works with a variety of schools and student leadership conferences to spread word about Discover Worlds. It also works with corporations and local businesses to eventually assists with fundraising. This department also works with similar non-profit student programs to make connections. This department has a variety of jobs and requires creativity, energy, people-skills, persistence and networks. In high positions, travel is likely.

Event Coordination

This smaller department calls for those who are good with organization. This department will plan out the logistics of presentations, fundraising, and other Discover Worlds events. Works with everyone. Best for those good at planning events and who have attention for small details.

Web and Graphic Design

Background in web design necessary. This very small and close-knit department will update and refine the website so that it fully reflects all Discover Worlds activities. Along with this, the website will be molded into another tool of raising awareness. Best for those interested in web design. The graphic design aspect will be used towards creating brochures, logos, and other such things. Space is limited.
