At the end of April 2010, Discover Worlds won a $25K grant from the Pepsi Refresh competition. This has been possible not only thanks to PepsiCo’s generosity, but because of your support. We are grateful for all the votes keeping our project within the top ten for a month! This grant will be a great help for the ChangEducate project.

ChangEducate is looking to build a marketing team for the product development, packaging and for reaching out to the teachers who would possibly use it. If you are interested in helping us tailor our product to our audience, please write to us at contact@discoverworlds.org! We will be selecting the team members in the next two weeks.

ChangEducate is proud to announce the new Chief of Media, Victoria Fleischer, a current Senior at Duke who plans to go into photography and filmmaking when she graduates. ChangEducate is excited to announce that the program just received a $1,000 grant from mtvU. The grant allows us to use the resources and tools of Youth Venture and join a global network of other changemakers on genV.net.

ChangEducate has partnered with the Education Department of Duke University. We will be working with the professors to design an expert curriculum, lesson plan and script for the educational DVD. This educational DVD will explain the definitions of poverty, its causes, development solutions and what students can do!
